Botanical Printing on Fabric
Held in celebration of Science Week, this workshop at Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct teaches botanical gelli printing, a technique for transferring plant shapes and textures onto fabric. Participants create their own tea towel using the technique, so there's a finished, useful item to take home. It's a hands-on, craft-focused session rather than a lecture, suited to beginners as much as anyone with printing experience. The garden setting means there may be real botanical material close at hand to work from.
