Pack a picnic and head to Griffith Park in Eltham for an evening spent by the Birrarung, or Yarra River, learning about one of Australia's most remarkable native animals. This special event is exclusively for young people aged 18 to 25, led by the Nillumbik Conservation Crew with support from Nillumbik Shire Council's Environment Team. Bring your dinner, a rug or a chair and settle in as local experts share insights into platypus behaviour, habitat and conservation. The picnic is free to attend.
