Friday Art in a Cafe is a drop-in toddler and preschool art playgroup held in the back area of Little Gecko Coffee Roasters in Newport, for children aged 1–5 with younger siblings welcome. Activities run simultaneously — drawing, stamping, painting on butchers paper, loose parts play, colouring and an easel — so children can move between things at their own pace, and someone else does the clean-up. Art smocks are available though limited; please dress children accordingly and mention any allergies when booking.
