Mend & Mingle - 10th October
Mend & Mingle offers two clothing-repair workshops with Jodie from A Fitting Connection at Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct, part of Whitehorse City Council's Sustainable Whitehorse events program. Session 1 (10am-11.30am) covers visible mending techniques such as sashiko stitching, darning, patching and decorative embroidery. Session 2 (12pm-1pm) covers sewing on buttons and hemming by hand. Participants can bring a garment that needs repair or practise on provided materials.
