An evening of vintage 35mm slides — 1950s to 1980s — paired with live improvised music at Cross Street Music Hall in Brunswick East. Warm, imperfect Kodachrome images shot by everyday people, played on analogue projectors with unpredictable sequencing, while Melbourne musicians improvise live: Oscar Toqui France (piano & keys, 16 May), Simon Bailey of Pony Face (guitar, 23 May), Alice Garner (cello, 30 May). Each night is one-of-a-kind — different images, and the artists see the slides for the first time when you do. Doors 6pm, show 6.30pm; please arrive on time as doors close once the slides begin.
