Plant Life: The Nature of Design is a free exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, running from 28 August 2026 to 27 February 2027, daily from 10am to 5pm with no booking required. The exhibition traces humanity's relationship with the plant world through design, from ancestral craft knowledge to regenerative materials such as leather grown from fungi and fibreboard made from hemp. It draws on furniture, architecture, decorative arts, craft, photography and film from the NGV Collection alongside new commissions, recent acquisitions and international loans.
