Steam Train Sunday 2026 at Ashburton Village invites families to ride the Ashy Dasher, a heritage steam train running return shuttles from Ashburton to Flinders Street. The event also features free activities in Ashburton Village including an AI Heritage Photobooth, roving entertainment, train-themed activities at Ashburton Community Centre, and a Train Trail scavenger hunt along High Street. Multiple shuttle timetables run from approximately 9:58am to 3:51pm.
