WORN - Wearable and Unwearable Objects
WORN gathers assemblage works by Kitty Calvert and the Beasts of Adornment, built from fragments of vintage treasure. The pieces hover between jewellery and artefact, suggesting wearability but resisting it through scale, weight and imbalance. Drawing on traditions of ritual, status and identity, the exhibition moves adornment from the body to the wall. The galleries at Gasworks Creative Precinct are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and the opening event is on 7 October from 6pm to 8pm.
